We are actively seeking a counsellor to join our team. Your primary responsibility in this role will be to provide high-quality in-person trauma counselling services. While your primary case load would be individuals, we are also very interested in folks who work with couples or children.
Responsibilities:
-
Provide professional trauma counselling services to clients.
-
Maintain confidential and accurate records of client sessions and progress notes in compliance with ethical standards and WellMind Counselling's policies.
-
Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to ethical standards in practice.
What We Offer:
-
A steady stream of referrals to build your case load. We have outgrown our current teams case-load capacity and need another clinician to take on our new referrals.
-
Done-for-you marketing! If you do not enjoy the marketing side of private practice, we have got you covered! We have a very strong online and off-line presence that helps new team members grow quickly.
-
A strong community presence and a supportive network that opens up opportunities for you to engage and grow.
-
Optional bi-weekly peer supervision to discuss cases, learn from each other, and discuss the human aspects of being a therapist.
-
The freedom to choose how you work with your clients while having a team to lean on if you get stuck or feel unsure.
-
Effective and efficient systems and process. If you’d like to come in, see your clients, do you notes, then leave, you’ll fit right in. We deeply value setting up systems that allow more time to do what we love and less of the back end struggles.
-
Financial peace of mind. No need to chase up missed payments or cards that don’t process. We take care of all of that for you.
-
A gorgeous and thoughtful office to welcome your clients in to.
-
A value driven organization that focuses on inclusivity, affirming care and trauma informed practices.
-
A team to have fun with! We like to meet for hang out evenings and team retreats where we can connect, have fun and know each other beyond our professional roles.

"The best part about working for WellMind is the feeling of community and unconditional support. Knowing that I can bring all of myself to our peer supervision sessions and be met with open mindedness and compassion allows me to feel safe to explore and grow myself as a counsellor and as a person. The other best part is that my schedule is full and I don't have to market myself or stress about finding clients.
